Balance Sheet (or, Statement of Net Worth)

This is one of the main statements used if you want to look at something from a financial perspective.  If you're looking at a company or not for profit, the statement is called a Balance Sheet.  If you're looking at an individual person, it's called a Statement of Net Worth.

In either case, the statement provides a snapshot of where you or your business stand on a given date.  Consists of assets, liablitiesand equity.
