Syd Speaks

"Yeah, I really had fun at the show too. It was fun to have everyone here. But I have to admit, it was kind of strange to have all my different people all together at once. I mean having my friends, my parents, and then other professional-type people all in the same room was kind of weird. It makes me wonder if we should break our shows into different groups or something. I don’t know, the crowd would be smaller then, but might be more of a fit.
"But... well... the main thing that was great about the show... I haven’t even told you guys yet... So, that gallery guy from New York? Well, he actually called me on his way back to the City. He said he was a huge fan of Art’s and had only really come to see his work. But he said Art sent him over to see my work and, well, long story short, he says he loves my work and wants to work it into this show he’s thinking of doing next fall. He said, well actually his wife said that she thought my bumbling around was unpretentious which is fine with me, whatever they want to call it."
Before Syd could get himself further confused, the other roommates launched into congratulations. Art whooped with joy. Nanci offered a high five. Prudence smiled.
